YES, essential oils are safe for pets too! Now, I have only used oils on my dog and cat, but I have read lots of stories of people using oils on horses too, for therapeutic reasons, and they are really amazing stories.  I have had success using essential oils on my doggie. She tends to get anxious when the house is full, or when the kids come home from school with a lot of energy. Lavender is one of the most well known essential oils, as it should be, for its calming effects. I highly recommend trying out this calming mist for your anxious pups! *I always recommend diluting essential oils for use on pets.

Calming Spray Mist
2oz glass spray bottle
10 drops Lavender

Fill with water, shake well before use

I love summertime! Being outdoors for 10 hours during the day, soaking in all that sunlight, vacationing, camping, hiking, and so much more! With all of that fun in the sun comes bugs which is no fun when you have animals who also enjoy the outdoors. We use this flea collar mix on our pup once a week during the summer time and soak her collar and leash!

Flea Collar Mix
1/3 cup water
3 drops Citronella EO
3 drops Lavender EO
3 drops Purification EO
3 drops Peppermint EO

Mix together in a glass bowl, soak collar. Let collar dry and then put on pet. Store the rest in a container for future use J Soak once every 2 weeks (or more often if your pet is outside a lot – like in summer months).

Here is another great one for those little pads when you’ve gone for an extra long run or just for dry skin, rough paws, or when ground is icy and you need to protect their paws from the cold!

Paw Pad Soother
1oz Coconut Oil
5-8 drops Frankincense
8 drops Lavender

Mix together and apply 2-4 times a day or as needed.

Love that our fur babies can enjoy the benefits of essential oils too!
