…I swear I am doing a load of laundry every day. And when I do this every day and I walk in the laundry room to see multiple loads, I’m shocked.
Where does it all come from? Why are there so many dirty kids underwear and pajamas. If you know what I’m talking about… know you are not alone!
Ready for some tips on conquering laundry in a fun, safe, natural and non-toxic way?
1. Wool Dryer Balls. You can get these anywhere – I’ve even seen them at Target now, but Amazon is my friend because you can order and it’s on your doorstep in 2 days (or less). These replace dryer sheets. If you don’t know what’s in dryer sheets, please google it, look on the back of the box, and STOP using them. They are full of bad, toxic things. Wool dryer balls will last 2-3 years before you need to replace them so talk about saving $$$!
2. Essential Oils and Aromatherapy. In your washer AND dryer! I personally love adding Young Living’s Purification blend to my washer. I usually add a drop to a few towels when I throw them in, and jeans. I have added a lot of things to my wool dryer balls – Citrus Fresh, Peppermint, Purification, Lavender, and Palmarosa. I’m telling you – these are better than any dryer sheets you could buy AND they are safe!
3. White Vinegar. This is incredible! Add ¼ cup to each load of laundry (in the fabric softener dispenser) and this will help result in brighter colors, softer clothes, and again – a safe, non-toxic alternative to fabric softener!
4. Ice Cubes. You’re probably thinking, huh??? I dislike ironing A LOT. A simple trick – put your shirt, or dress, or jeans in the dryer with an Ice Cube and BOOM – unwrinkled clothes. This works great with sheets too if you’re weird about putting wrinkled sheets on your bed like me.. hello OCD!
