What is a carrier oil?
A carrier oil is a vegetable oil such as coconut oil, grapeseed oil or olive oil that can be used to dilute essential oils. Carrier oils ensure that essential oils are applied comfortably and prevent waste due to excessive application. They do not lessen the strength of an oil.
Do carrier oils expire?
Yes, while pure therapeutic grade essential oils (the only kind we recommend) do not expire, carrier oils do. Make sure to use the following as a guide when using carrier oils with your roller bottles and other recipes!
